HOW TO SELL ON SHOPSMAT

Selling on ShopsMat involves five simple procedures :

  • Start offering.
  • Department selection.
  • Category and sub categories selection
  • Processes.
  • Service Options.
  • START OFFERING

        This is a feature that begins the process of hosting or selling your service on the platform. It contains the tools that allow users to create a great pitch by adding details and images to their services.

    Start offering is located at the top right corner of the site. By clicking on, it opens a page called department selection.

    DEPARTMENT SELECTION

        ShopsMat is divided into departments; this helps the platform to be organized. The department allows users to select the area on the platform to host the service being created. By selecting a department and clicking on the next link takes you the category and subcategories section. For now there are 3 departments on the platform: Direct hire.

    DIRECT HIRE

        This is the area on the platform where all services involving direct hiring of third party service providers are hosted. The area is divided into two: Freight section.

    DOMESTIC WORK

        All services regarding household and day to day activities related to life are hosted here.

    CATEGORY AND SUBCATEGORIES SELECTION

        This section enlists broad service heading names to match the services that sellers are offering. Selection of a Service Heading Name that best describes a service during the Start Offering Process hosts that service under the selected name. For example, if a seller is providing house cleaning service, he or she first selects the Domestic Work as department and then selects cleaning as category and finally selects house cleaning as sub-category and the service will be hosted under the exact selected department and category.

    PROCESSES

        This is called service building area. It contains all the tools needed to create a unique and engaging service page. It gives the ability to describe service in details, add pictures and videos of service, give basic service cost and many more. The processes section of the start offering contains five steps:

  • Overview
  • Description
  • Price quote and gallery
  • Feature for customized service
  • FAQ
  • Create your pitch by filling out the forms under the PROCESSES, review, submit. We approve it, and your service is visible to bookers.
  • SERVICE OPTIONS

        This feature gives users the necessary tools to add more needed service contents and options to ShopsMat’s pre-customized tools of creating service contents.

    HOW TO BOOK A SERVICE ON SHOPSMAT

        Service Selling Account (SSA) or Sellers Service Profile (SSP) on ShopsMat is hosted under two separate areas :

  • Listing page. (LP)
  • Detailed Listing Page (DLP)
  • LISTING PAGE

        This is a page that contains multiple accounts of sellers. Sellers can be search for at this page.

    DETAILED LISTING PAGE

        This page contains individual hosting page. It is an expansion of the listing page of single service seller. When a selling account on the listing page is clicked on, it opens the detailed listing page to give much information about the service and the seller. After finding a desired service provider, in the detailed listing page of the seller, there is a link called PROCEED TO ORDER, by clicking on it lands you on a page with a form.

    PROCEED TO ORDER FORM

        This form provides the tools to describe the service you want the service provider to perform for you. By being precise as possible, fill out this form to receive quotation for your intended service purchase from the seller.

    QUOTATION FROM SELLER

        The seller receives the form you fill with the detailed information about the service you want to be performed, and he gives a quote based on the information you provided and send it to you.

    QUOTES ARRIVAL

        The quote arrives in the messaging area. Clicking on it opens the quote with key information about the service you want it to be performed. Below the quote, there is ORDER NOW and DECLINE links. The order now link takes you to a secure payment gateway where you can enter your payment details to pay for the service. The decline link cancels the service you have request a quote for.

    Are you a buyer looking for information about your order? This brief information is for you.

    The following instructions are for businesses in the transportation/selling of things and users expecting delivery. The tracking feature has two phases: Seller tracking feature and Buyer tracking feature.

    TRACKING FEATURE FOR A SELLER

    Sellers have a different tracking feature with necessary tools to update the status of order.

    LOCATION FOR SELLERS TRACKER

    The sellers Tracker can be found in two ways.

    STEP 1: Look through the horizontal list of features below ShopsMat logo, and look for seller. Click on it and in the drop down menu, select Manage Tracking.

    STEP 2: Click on the overview right below ShopsMat logo at the top left hand side of the site and then again look for a feature called seller. Click on it and look for Manage Tracking.

    THINGS UNDER SELLERS TRACKER

    Everything about any order booked appeared under the tracker, but their status cannot be change. There are three tools available to you to work with. They are:

    UPDATE STATUS

    This contains dropdown menu of six information that can be use to show the status of the order to the buyer. Choose one to represent each stage of the order. They are:

  • Accepted
  • Packed
  • Shipped
  • In transit
  • Delivered
  • Cancelled
  • ADD COMMENT

    Use this to add a brief comment about the order status to the buyer. It works with the update status. Select appropriate status and enter the comment and click send.

    UPDATE

    This is used by handlers of the order to communicate the exact location of the order to the admin

    TRACKING FEATURE BUYERS

    The tracking helps sellers to update buyers about the status of their orders

    WHERE YOU CAN FIND THE TRACKING FEATURE

    Tracking is located under MY ORDERS in the user profile at the top right hand corner.

    MY ORDERS

    My orders contain information on your open and cancelled orders. This page enables you to do so many things regarding your order. It contains the following links:

    TRACK PACKAGE

    It shows you the status of your order.

    LEAVE SELLER FEEDBACK

    You can use it to pass a comment on the seller.

    WRITE PRODUCT REVIEW

    This is the page where you can rate and write review about the product or service you received.

    ASK FOR REDO

    You can use it to send a redo ticket to the seller about a service that was not done well.
